COOLING CIRCUITS

Refrigerator groups and absorbers are the most common equipment to ensure cold environment. They are usually combined with evaporative towers necessary for the dissipation of heat from the refrigerant cycle. Water plays a key role in the efficiency of chillers, which consume large electric power to work properly; small variations of COP, attributable to the condenser of the refrigeration unit, generate a significant surplus of energy costs. ITACA, thanks to its experience, has developed qualified skills by customizing specific automations for control of chemical conditioning of the cooling water: the Tower Save & Feed is a clear example.

Protection against corrosion

In implementing mechanical equipment of new receptive buildings, the attention given to the coupling of the various metals that are present in the components of the equipment of the closed circuits such as kettles, recirculating, radiating surfaces, valves etc, is very often "under evaluated".
Closed circuits suffer from phenomena of corrosion of the metal more anodic, generating oxides and sludge precursors of further corrosive processes, clogging and deposits in the bottom of the circuit areas.
ITACA solutions are useful to limit the formation of sludge and corrosion, extremely detrimental to the efficiency of the heat exchange surfaces.
